My watch is dead. I was not as lucky as Big White Guy with his wifes watch. Also mine needed a new battery and because it is quite hard to close the lid (I tried it years before, replacing the battery myself) I went to a professional shop in Causeway Bay. Well, first of all this guy just talked to my girlfriend even he could understand and speak English (My English is bad, but not to that extend) - was he scared of me? His face and behaviour you could describe as sluggish. My girlfriend and I demanded a bill - he just ignored us: what the heck! Apparently the new battery worked probably two hours long. Then I checked my watch very carefully, as the date display was a bit off, I did not recognized before: everything seem to be shifted a tiny littlebit to the left. Ok and than go back again. I demanded him to check if the battery was full or not and asked him to check about the shifting. Everything else was a great display of Hong Kongs customer service aka. NONE. My calm face faded away and even my girlfriend became very angry about this clod. After several minutes he finally changed again the battery - but this one just worked for half an hour. Lesson learned: I will go and get my watch checked next time in Germany - there is no use to ask for repair in HK. In the meantime I was asked to choose my birthday gift in another shop - conspiracy: did my gf payed this technician? Hereby, you've been warned: TIC TAC Times Square, Causeway Bay your proper watch disposal.
