V4L is been marked as deprecated in the Linux kernel (not completely yet but the writing is on the wall). However, the plugin for V4L2 for GStreamer is is in the bad package and that is for a reason. If you want to test your webcam with GStreamer and use the V4L2 plugin use this gst-launch line:
$ gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src device=/dev/video0 use-fixed-fps=false ! autovideosink
Everything should be automatic in GStreamer. So pluueaaase, get rid of this insane parameter. |
